I am the Owner and Creator of Jus Nyam Food Truck. At Jus Nyam Food Truck, we do our best to serve delicious, freshly made dishes on wheels, bringing the taste of Jamaica to your neighbourhood. With a passion for great food and friendly service, our team is dedicated to delivering a memorable culinary experience.
In every Jamaican home, food is more than a meal, it is an experience filled with love, laughter, and bold flavour. Whether you come from near or far, there is one thing we all understand: when the pot cover lifts and the aroma reaches yuh, you don’t hesitate, you jus nyam.
The name “Jus Nyam” comes straight from the heart of Jamaican culture. It speaks to our way of living, simple, honest, and full of vibes. It means come as you are, full or hungry, talkative or quiet, once di food deh deh, you nyam.
At Jus Nyam, we honour that tradition in every bite. From scratch-made coconut milk to handcrafted jerk seasoning and oil-free cooking, our dishes are prepared just the way our grandparents taught us, with respect, care, and no shortcuts. We use organic ingredients, organic-fed chicken, grass-fed beef, and zero preservatives. This is not fast food, this is real Jamaican cooking, clean and full of heart.

My Story
Welcome to my world of flavours and passion! I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica, where food is not just sustenance but a celebration of life. Growing up with a mother who is an excellent cook, I developed a deep love and passion for food from an early age. By the time I was eleven, I eagerly seized every opportunity to learn the art of cooking. I remember the joy I felt seasoning the meat, the aroma of scallion onions, pimento, thyme, and garlic filling the air, and spending countless summer days watching my grandmother cook in her outdoor kitchen.
As a true foodie, I revel in the taste of good food so much so that when the food is just right, I feel like dancing! It is this joy that I want to share with you through the Jus Nyam Food Truck. Every bite you take tells a story, a piece of my journey, and a reflection of the love I have for food.
I believe in offering healthy alternatives without compromising flavour. That is why 98% of my meals are made without oil. I use only the best organic seasonings, fresh ingredients, and grass-fed beef. Everything is made from scratch, including my own jerk seasoning, browning sauce, and even coconut milk, which is prepared with zero preservatives or artificial flavours.
Although I pursued a career in teaching, my passion for cooking never wavered. Friends and family would often tell me to put my teaching degree aside and open a restaurant. Now, with the launch of the Jus Nyam Food Truck, that dream has become a reality. It is surreal, but I could not be more excited to share this part of my life with you. I want every dish to bring a smile to your face, a dance to your step, and a warmth to your heart.
